Hey! I’m Gracie Cecil and I am a senior this year. Throughout highschool, I have loved being a part of the school and community. In the school I am involved in Beta club, National Honors Society, and Pep Club. Outside of school, I play soccer for GRC. Why I love all of these things: nothing comes close to the experiences and opportunities that being a part of the Smoke Signals Staff gives me. Last year, Smoke Signals gave me the opportunity to test out new writing styles, experiments with hype videos, lip syncs, and even hop on some fun video trends. I met so many new people and learned so many new things. I have a new perspective and more experience going into this year. I can't wait to bring new media and ideas to Smoke Signals this year.
“I've never felt more alone than when I’m trying to put sunscreen on my back.” -Jimmy Kimmel. This is the sad reality every day for me, Mallory Jones, because I am a ginger and have to apply SPF frequently. Besides that, I am very involved in school activities like Beta Club, Mock Trial, and Student Y. I love to sing and compete in pageants, and I even won Miss Kentucky’s Teen 2024! I stay busy but always make sure to find time to enjoy some Don Señor chips and queso. I am very excited to be part of the Smoke Signals staff and to be the Monday Minute Anchor to inform you on all things GRC and help you to start your week off on the right foot! (P.S. Use this as your reminder to use SPF 30 daily.)
