Four Academic Team members advance to state; Burns is region champ

GRC’s Academic Team finished third in the Governor’s Cup Region 10 competition, with four students advancing to state in individual assessments.
Senior Emma Burns is the written composition 10th Region champion.
“The region was very competitive this year, and the students worked hard to bring this title home,” said Coach Robyn Murphy.
The following students placed high enough in region in individual assessments to advance to state on March 19th:
Emma Burns, 1st in written composition
Billy Morris, 2nd in math; 2nd in science
Carolyn Meyer, 3rd in language arts
Barbara Sheehan, 5th in math
