GRC bids farewell to a legend
Steven Parks leaves GRC after stellar career
Legendary math teacher Steven Parks has bid farewell to GRC after 16 years.
With his nationally ranked Advanced Placement pass rates and his iconic teaching style, Mr. Parks made a lasting impact on hundreds of students.
Mr. Parks prefers a quiet goodbye as he moves on to the next chapter but we couldn’t resist some sort of send off.
The Smoke Signals staff says Thank You, Mr. Parks, for your uncanny ability to teach to the highest level, and to push students to levels of achievement they didn’t know they could reach.
You are one of a kind and will always be part of the GRC family.

Thanks to all of you who have written or reached out to me in the past few days. I don’t know of a better gift than to make another person feel valued and appreciated. Thank you for that. This isn’t the end, just a change of scenery. Please keep in touch.
Mr. Parks

Honored to have been one of your students. You truly are a master of articulation and what you have been able to achieve through your impact on students is as marvelous as calculus itself! You not only teach a class but you instill a drive! I haven’t even had to spin around and throw up once since taking your class!

Both our boys were privileged to have you as their teacher. Your influence and dedication to excellence was most appreciated by both Ethan and Jacob. Ethan is a pediatrician and Jacob is an electric engineer. Way to go, Mr. Parks. You will be missed. Good luck!!

Mr Parks
I am beyond blessed to know that you taught both of my kids and I am very confident that you, your teaching style and your classes had an abundance of result in my children’s career choices! One is an officer and pilot in the Air Force and the other has a bachelors degree in Computer Science and is a Systems Engineer. Neither would have excelled without having you as their teacher! Best of luck in your future endeavors!
