Need a furry friend?

Smoke Signals is doing a new series to promote adoptable animals at the Clark County Animal Shelter.

This series is to expand the outreach in hopes of finding the animals a loving home. The shelter constantly has animals coming in and out so it is not guaranteed they will remain available.

For more information visit the Clark County Animal Shelter website.

FEATURED PETS

Meet Eddie…

Eddie is around 2 years old and is a hound mix. He is a happy dog that is outgoing and friendly. He loves meeting new people and loves to be pet. Eddie is good with other dogs but will not allow male dogs to intimidate him. He needs a home that will allow him to have plenty of exercise and play time as he is still young. Eddie is the perfect mix between active and chill as he settles really well. A fenced yard is preferred when adopting Eddie. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. If interested in welcoming this amazing dog into your home contact the Clark County Animal Shelter.

Meet Bodie…

Bodie is a Siberian Husky mix and is around a year old. He was surrendered by his owner because he chased the cats in the home. He was not with his previous owner for long so the information on Bodie is limited. Bodie was a happy and outgoing dog when he came to the shelter but kennel life has been a bit overwhelming for him. He will need someone who is patient and willing to give him time to become comfortable. Once he has warmed up he is very playful and friendly. Bodie likes other dogs and loves toys. Bodie is recommended to be in a home without children under 12 because of his timid nature and size. A fenced yard is required when adopting Bodie. He is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. Bodie is available for adoption at the Clark County Animal Shelter.

Meet Carson… (ADOPTED SINCE WE PUBLISHED)

Carson is an American Bulldog mix and is about a year old. He came to the shelter as a stray and wasn’t in the best condition. Since Carson is young he does best with a routine. He is great in his kennel and never raises a fuss yet releases all his energy in playtime. Carson is very active and outgoing. He would thrive in an active home where he can get all the attention and playtime he deserves. Although Carson is friendly with children he doesn’t understand his size and strength so a home with small children may not be the best fit considering he may jump and knock down a small child. He is very affectionate and loves to play. Carson would make an amazing addition to a loving and active home. He is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. If interested in adopting Carson please contact the Clark County Animal Shelter.

Meet Potter…

Potter is a domestic shorthair cat that is around 2 years old. He is being rehomed due to him not getting along with the other cats in the home. So Potter would be happier in a single cat household where he would get all the love and attention. Potter is a playful and sweet cat. He has a lot of energy and needs someone willing to give him lots of time and care. He loves to nap and cuddle. Potter is good with children and located in Winchester KY. Potter is available through the Clark County Animal Shelter’s home to home program. If you are interested in this sweet cat contact the Clark County Animal Shelter.

Meet Jack… (ADOPTED SINCE WE PUBLISHED)

Jack is a Australian Cattle Dog mix that is 1 year and 4 months old. He is a friendly and happy dog that is good with other dogs but does not do well with cats and other small animals. Jack is very playful and would thrive in a home where he can have regular playtime and exercise. A fenced in yard is preferred when adopting Jack. He was surrendered to the shelter because his owner was moving. He is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. Jack is available for adoption at the Clark County Animal Shelter.
