The GRC Cheerleaders are champions of the 10th Region Boys In-Game Cheer Competition.

The winner was announced during Monday’s semifinals at Mason County.

The squad cheered four district games and will have cheered six region tournament games by tomorrow. Girls state begins Wednesday at Rupp Arena and the girls will again compete in the In-Game Girls Sweet 16 competition.

For the boys region competition, the girls were judged during the opening game against Augusta.

“I knew the girls deserved the win because they really performed that night, but it was exciting to watch them celebrate and see their hard work come to life,” said Coach Jerrica Whitaker. “They have worked endlessly this year and this win was a great ending to the season.”
