The best part of Halloween is…
Joby Mitmesser asks students…
Halloween. An amazing time for trick or treating, haunted houses, making your house look scary, and experiencing the atmosphere of this once-a-year terrifying night.
But what really is the best part of this spine-chilling season?
“Dressing up and hanging out with friends is the best part, halloween brings everyone together,” says senior Riley Williams.
Dressing up is the only time of the year you get to be one of your favorite characters, celebrities, or just something scary. Whether it be at costume parties, school, or even trick-or-treating yourself, dressing up is a staple of Halloween.
“I love the vibe you get during that time of the year, like the smells and the decorations that you see,” says freshman Camden Raney.
The vibe is always a great aspect, the smells of candy corn, pumpkins, and fall leaves, the perfect smells for a scary season.
“Carving Pumpkins has to be my favorite,” says junior Ava Woolum. “I like to turn it into a competition with my friends and make the best looking pumpkins for decorations at my house.”
Carving pumpkins brings halloween together and is a great idea to do with your friends if anyone is looking for something to do for halloween.
“The decorations are the best, the way that people go all out to decorate their houses with skeletons and pumpkins is really cool and gets me excited for the season,” says junior Ryan Jackson.
The decorations are another great part of halloween: the fake tombstones, monster blowups, and fake cobwebs to really blend your house to the scary surroundings.
Every aspect of Halloween is amazing in their own ways depending on what you like. Dressing up, the atmosphere of your town, carving pumpkins, and halloween decorations are all things that contribute to a spooky halloween.
By trying these new Halloween activities your peers have, you might find a new favorite tradition, and can find the best ways for a worthwhile Halloween.
