Football Cards meet Oldham at home tonight

Carter Lowe says Cards have ‘regained that swagger’

The GRC football Cardinals will face off with district opponent Oldham County Colonels, at Cardinal Stadium tonight. GRC is fresh off their first win of the season against Madison Central, making their season record 1-4. Oldham County on the other hand is currently 3-2 and is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Bryan Station.

“Coming off a win last week, I think we’ve regained that swagger and confidence we were lacking,” says junior strong safety Carter Lowe. “As long as we read our keys and execute we will be fine. We also have to stay in character and humble ourselves, after all we are 1-4, but you best believe we are the best 1-4 team in the state.”

Oldham County, says Coach Oliver Lucas is “a very good team” and the Cards expect a battle.  “Our team had an outstanding week of practice,” said the coach. “We are excited to play before our home crowd and our community.”
