Iced coffee. The superior way to drink coffee.

The best part of any morning (or afternoon).

Iced coffee is in, and hot coffee is out.

What pops into your head when you imagine a cup of hot coffee? You are probably envisioning a plain old black cup of coffee. How boring is that?? However, when you imagine iced coffee, you probably think of something a little more exciting. Iced coffee is fun, exciting, it carries a personality.

Many are under the assumption that in order to have a good iced coffee, you have to go spend $5 at a coffee shop. In reality, all  you have to do is buy cold brew packets from the store. You place the packet in a jar of water, put it in the fridge overnight, and voila… in the morning you have a cold coffee. All you have to do is pour it in a cup and drink it plain or add your favorite type of milk. It will last you a whole lot longer than hot coffee. Every time I drink a hot coffee, it ends up going room temperature before I can finish it.

Iced coffee carries a stereotype that it is meant for teenagers and doesn’t hold its own in flavor when compared to hot coffee. You’d be surprised to know that a cold coffee has less acidity than boring ol hot coffee. This not only makes it better for your digestive system, but also makes it taste better overall. Cold coffee tends to be less caffeinated. Although this could be viewed as a disappointment, I just see it as an opportunity to drink more iced coffee throughout the day.

Iced coffee has long surpassed hot coffee. It’s about time we all start accepting it.
