Netflix movie “Bandersnatch” is as mind-bending as its name

If you have social media or a Netflix account, you have probably heard of Black Mirror’s interactive movie, “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.”

Bandersnatch is Netflix’s first choose-your-own-adventure movie in which the viewer decides what the character does.

The movie follows young game developer Stefan as he tries to develop a best-selling video game adaptation based on a choose-your-own-adventure novel titled Bandersnatch.

Along the way, Stefan meets Colin, another game developer, who teaches him that everything they do is out of their control, thus beginning the conflict of the movie.

The movie experiments with the idea of breaking the fourth wall and allowing Stefan to acknowledge the presence of the viewer.

The movie debuted Dec. 28 and has an unofficial runtime due to the multitude of choices the viewer can make, including what kind of cereal the character eats.

Bandersnatch has five different main endings along with a secret Easter egg in the post credit scene.

The movie also has a way of directing you to choose the choice the director wanted you to choose creating a sense of no free will.

Chock-full of government conspiracies, questions of control, and the simulation theory, Bandersnatch tackles a wide variety of conspiratorial topics.

Amidst all the hype,  Bandersnatch truly is a movie for those who crave adventure.

If you are in the mood to question your existence, Bandersnatch is the movie for you.
