Stranger Things Have Happened

A government conspiracy. A threatening monster from another dimension. An experiment that can move things with her mind.

Last year, the world was swept by the breakout series that changed entertainment as we know it.

Stranger Things upped the game with its flawless acting, characters, and story. When the first trailer dropped during the Super Bowl commercials, the whole nation was anxious to see what the new season had in store for its fans.

Needless to say, it didn’t disappoint.

Season two explored the mysterious nature of the Upside-Down and its inhabitants in a way that was never seen before. Each moment that is spent in the alternate dimension is filled with tension and horror.

New characters brought to life by their actors brought interesting developments to the plot.

Sean Astin, famous for his roles in Lord of the Rings and The Goonies, is excellent in his performance as Bob “The Brain” Newby. His dorky personality is sure to make him a fan favorite.

Sadie Sink adds a fresh face to the already stupendous cast of young actors.

Dacre Montgomery brings the stereotypical high school rival depth and life to the point that you hate his guts and feel sorry for him at the same time.

Returning actors provide more depth to their roles.

Perhaps the most outstanding performance is Noah Schnapp’s spine-chilling portrayal of a post-missing Will Byers. His struggle over adjusting to everyday life makes the audience really sympathize with him.

David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown give us all we could have asked for with the interaction of Eleven and Sheriff Hopper. Seeing Steve and the kids together was as hilarious as it gets.

It’s no question that each one of the performances was miles above fantastic.

Once again, the Netflix Original offers a blast to the past in its 1984 setting.

Reagan/Bush signs are displayed in yards and the town theater plays The Terminator. The kids even dress up for Halloween as Ghostbusters and teenagers dance at a party to Duran Duran and Motley Crue.

Fans are sure to be satisfied with Stranger Things 2. And if you have somehow avoided hopping onto the Stranger Things bandwagon, now is the perfect time to catch up.

There is no doubt that this season delivers to its audience in more ways than one. The mysteries of Hawkins, Indiana are bigger and better than ever.
