Girls’ Soccer

The girls’ soccer team took on district rival Montgomery County coming out victorious, 11-1. The 13-1-1 Lady Cards look to continue their impressive season this week in away games against Harrison County Oct. 2, Lexington Catholic Oct. 4, and Lexington Catholic Oct. 5. The girls look to catch fire heading into the District Tournament on Oct. 9 against Paris at Montgomery County.

 

Boys’ Soccer

Last week the boys’ soccer team faced off against Mason County and beat the Royals 4-0. The boys also played Tates Creek and came out deadlocked with the Commodores, 3-3. The boys look to improve on their 10-3-1 record this week with two games at home against Berea Oct. 2 and Conner Oct. 3. The boys look towards their district tournament game against Bourbon County Oct. 10 at Montgomery County.

 

Volleyball

The volleyball team swept both Western Hills and district foe Montgomery County. The Lady Cards look to continue their winning ways this week against Sayre Oct. 2 and Wolfe County Oct. 3.

 

Football

The football team ran all over the Boone County Rebels for the homecoming game and came out with a 59-7 victory. The 4-2 Cards look to find their fifth win Friday Oct. 6 away against the Lafayette Generals.

 

JV/Freshman Football

The teams play at home tonight against Madison Southern. The Freshman team plays at 6:00, followed by the Junior Varsity at 7:30.

 

Cross Country

The girls’ cross country team placed second last week in the Water Barrel. The boys’ cross country finished fourth in the same competition. The Cross Country team will look towards the Coaches Classic Saturday at Lykins Park.

 

Girls’ Golf

The girls’ golf team has reached state for the first time in 20 years. The girls will compete Oct. 6 in Bowling Green.
