Congrats to our National Champion JROTC Female Raiders on being honored by the Kentucky Senate.
Sen. Greg Elkins welcomed the GRC contingent to the Capitol and took a group photo inside the Capitol next to the rotunda. The girls then had a guided tour of the Capitol. Sen. Elkins then provided lunch and gave over an hour of his time to answering questions prepared by the girls.
Superintendent Dustin Howard and Principal Luke Toy were present for the Q&A along with several family members.
Sen. Elkins gave all the girls citations and then after the Senate session started, he introduced a resolution honoring the girls’ achievement which was unanimously accepted. The girls got invited onto the Senate Chamber floor for applause, congrats and photos.
“It was a fantastic occasion that they all will remember forever,” said LTC Thomas Krupp.
