Many holidays come and go throughout the year, but only one constantly raises my excitement each year: Easter.
Easter is a great time for the family to get together and have fun in the spring.
All holidays have unique traditions that make them so special, but Easter by far has some of the best.
Holy Week
The week before Easter is known as Holy Week. Each day during this week is an event that happened leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. Many people tend to overlook the week before but it is something to celebrate and remember.
Resurrection Sunday
Going to church is by far one of my favorite things to do. The church service on Resurrection Sunday is one of my favorite services. We get to deep dive and talk about the greatest thing ever, the Resurrection of Jesus. Being able to talk about the significance of the resurrection each year just helps set a reminder of why God is so good. Resurrection Sunday service, for me, always concludes with a church-wide Easter lunch.
Easter Egg Hunting
As a child, I always loved Easter egg hunts. I mean, who doesn’t? The thrill of finding a bright-colored egg full of candy is any kid’s dream. Although I am old now, I still try to participate in the Easter egg Hunts somehow, so I volunteer to hide eggs. The sheer enjoyment and anticipation of Easter egg hunting is what helps make Easter iconic.
Easter outfits
My family always loves to dress up for Easter. We pick a combination of pastel colors and where we all match together as a family. Easter brings out the beautiful pastel colors and you can see that in the outfits people wear. It is nice to get together with your family and take good pictures to celebrate this amazing holiday.
Dying Eggs
The next best thing outside of Easter Egg Hunting is dying eggs. There are so many fun colors and designs that you can do when dying eggs. Although it can be messy, it is a fun time and a great way to make memories. After dying eggs, my family always makes deviled eggs out of the dyed eggs. This gives our easter lunch some fun colors to the food.
Many people tend to overlook Easter for the “bigger” holidays but I think Easter is by far one of the best holidays, especially its traditions.
You can make many fun memories with the family during this fantastic holiday.
There is something so special about Easter whenever it comes around each year.
