The moment she walked into GRC, Jamie Phipps knew it was special. As the school’s new College & Career counselor, Ms. Phipps said she looks forward to helping students plan their future after high school.
“From the first time I entered the building, I could tell just how special the students and school community were,” she said. “Everyone I encountered during my time in the building was so welcoming and helpful that I knew I wanted to become a member of the Cardinal Family.”
A Cincinnati native, Ms. Phipps graduated from Morehead State University and then began working there as an admissions/diversity counselor, giving her unique experience for her new position.
“That experience sparked my passion for helping students follow their dreams and helped lead me to the counseling profession,” said Ms. Phipps, who went on to earn her master’s in school counseling. “I know the possibility of where students can go and I want to positively contribute to the road that gets them there.”
Ms. Phipps enjoys traveling and spending time with family. She lives in Lexington with her puppy, Parker.
