Spring has sprung…

Spring+has+sprung...

Warm air, daisies blooming, bare feet, and short sleeves.

Even though spring is officially here, I have my doubts considering I had to scrape ice off my car two days ago.

But, to have a positive attitude in hopes of it warming up, here are some activities to keep you busy this springtime!

1) Go on a hike

There’s nothing better than getting out in the fresh air after being cooped up all winter.

There are numerous local hiking spots such as Halls on the River, Natural Bridge, Red River Gorge, and the Pinnacles of Berea. It’s time to come out of hibernation and get moving!

2) Start spring cleaning

I bet the ugly sweater
your grandma got you for Christmas is still sitting in the corner of your closet after you swore you were going to donate it.

Well, now is the time to get on it.

Go through your closet this spring and donate items

you don’t want to Goodwill or CC’s Closet in Winchester. Your trash could be someone else’s treasure!

3) Plant seasonal fruits and veggies

Remember your New Years resolution you made to eat healthier?

Yeah, I’m talking to you.

If you’ve veered off track, you can plant some seeds this spring to enjoy in the early summer.

ThThere are plenty of seeds that thrive when planted in March such as peas, carrots, beets, lettuce, and broccoli.

I encourage you to be productive and get outside this spring to cure your cabin fever!
