Musical Auditions Open For All!

I Think You’re Gonna Like it Here

Lights, camera, action!

Once again the Cardinal Theatre comes to life. This month, auditions for the show Annie will begin.

Annie is a student-produced combination show including both Robert D. Campbell and GRC students.

Auditions for Campbell students will be Monday, Nov. 27, and auditions for GRC students will be
Tuesday, Nov. 28, and Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Callbacks will be Thursday, Nov. 30, followed by the first rehearsal and mandatory parent meeting on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Pre-registration papers must be turned in and can be found outside Room 123.

If auditioning for a lead, a musical theater piece must be prepared. If called back, a cold read will be done to demonstrate chemistry with the script.

If auditioning for the dance corps, show up at auditions and you will be taught the dance numbers.

If auditioning for the chorus, be prepared to learn the songs.

The production is a collaborative effort with Mr. Olson handling music, Mrs. Jacobus as the director and choreographer, Mrs. Wilson covering art, Mrs. Lowther as producer and accompanist, and Ms. Wells will be helping with sets and choreography as needed. Mr. Payne along with Ms. Rohr will be helping students performing in the pit.

The shows will be March 16, 17, and 18 with school showings in between.

Rehearsals will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays along with Saturday rehearsals twice a month.

You don’t have to be in a cohort or arts class; any student can audition.

Whether it is helping with sets or performing on stage, anyone can be a part of this production.

“Leads come out of nowhere,” Mrs. Lowther says. “We absolutely encourage everyone to audition.”
