Defeat to Henry Clay Not a Setback for Girls’ Soccer
The Lady Cards last week played #2 Henry Clay where the girls fought hard but came out with their first loss of the season.
“Not the result we wanted but we learned a lot about us during this loss,” says Coach Matthew Abner. “We will look where we had issues and work to be more efficient in those areas. I am pleased with my team and where we are at this point in the season.”
The girls will look to rebound tonight in their district game away at Bourbon County. On Wednesday, the girls will play Paris, another district foe, and have their Senior Night where they will honor nine seniors. The girls will also travel to West Jessamine on Thursday to take on the Colts.
