Girls’ Soccer Streaks on to 10-0

The girls’ soccer team continued to prove its now #7 ranking by taking down Scott County and Woodford County.

Scott County’s effort to come and upset the girls came as no match as the Lady Cards cruised to a 5-0 victory.

“Another great win for the Lady Cards,” says coach Matthew Abner. “The girls are playing well right now and keeping a level head and not looking past any team.”

On Saturday the Lady Cards beat the Woodford County Lady Yellow Jackets 4-0.

“Woodford threw different formations that we had not seen before but once we settled down,” says Abner, “we were able to play our type of game. We controlled the midfield and were very active on the offensive side of the field.”

The girls heading into this week look to continue their undefeated streak facing of against #2 Henry Clay tonight.

“Our focus no is on #2 Henry Clay,” says Abner. “We are expecting an exciting game and we will hold nothing back.”

The girls will also travel to Lexington Christian Wednesday.
