It’s that time of year again, Cardinals.
Homecoming is just around the corner and here is everything you need to know.
Unlike years in the past where Homecoming festivities were throughout one week, this year we are celebrating from September 12-21.
To kick off such an anticipated time of the year the annual Homecoming parade will be Thursday, Sept. 12, at 6pm. The parade will start on Depot St. and end at Lomas. It will feature several sports teams, clubs, schools, and other community organizations and people.
The Homecoming Football game is on Friday, Sept. 13, at 7:30, where the Cardinals will battle the Henry Clay Blue Devils at GRC Stadium.
The following week of September 16-20, will be Homecoming Spirit Week where students get the opportunity to dress up for themes each day.
Monday-Pajama Day
Tuesday-Country V.S. Country Club
Wednesday-Twin/Iconic Duos
Thursday-Decades Day
Friday-Spirit Wear
The Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, Sept. 21, from 7-10 p.m. and tickets will be sold starting the 16th for $10 each.
If you’re bringing a guest who doesn’t attend GRC, they must be at least in the 9th grade and cannot exceed the age of 21. If the guest you wish to bring is over 18 and is not currently enrolled in high school, they must complete a background check. Guest permission forms must be turned in by Tuesday, Sept. 6, to get approved to attend the dance.
Let’s make this the best Homecoming at GRC ever.
