National Beta Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote leadership, academic achievement, service, and character in middle and high school students.

National Beta has been serving for 80 years with more than 8,750 clubs nationally and internationally. It has become the nation’s largest non-profit educational youth organization.

George Rogers Clark has proudly been inducting members since 2003 and looks forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.

In order to be invited into National Beta, students at GRC must maintain high academics, have a 3.5 GPA or higher, and complete 16 hours of service (8 donation and 8 community service).

Simply being invited to join Beta is an honor.

Although this year it looked a little different for Beta Club members, the club proceeded to collect donations for the flood victims, donate to our local pregnancy center (New Beginnings), donate clothes to CC’s Closet and goodwill. Also, the club collected canned foods and two liters for our school’s FFA program to make baskets for families who might have needed a good Thanksgiving meal.

This year, GRC Beta’s biggest donation project was donations for the Operation Christmas Child. OCC is a charity that gives Christmas gifts to underprivileged children across the world. GRC could include toys, school supplies, hygiene items, etc.

GRC Beta Club members ended up with a total of 95 boxes to send overseas to these children.

Thank you so much newly inducted Beta Club Members for your dedication, will power and teamwork for collecting all you have despite the craziness of the year.

If you have not joined National Beta Club but would like to and are eligible, look out in the fall for joining information and if any questions a rise please email Mrs. Mills at [email protected].
