Scott is a 2017 graduating senior. As a new community member both at GRC and Winchester, Scott did not hesitate to seek out opportunities to volunteer and take on leadership roles in both settings.

He actively volunteers through his congregation at Beit Minorah and with the JROTC program.

He is an active member and leader through the GEAR UP Ambassador Club where he has worked with his peers to generate ideas to improve the school community, focusing on issues such as peer counseling and reducing the usage of tobacco products among the student population.

Scott took it upon himself to seek out GEAR UP and worked closely with the College and Career Advisors to ensure that he was doing everything to prepare for his transition into college.

Scott plans to attend BCTC in the fall and then transfer to Morehead State University. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree he plans to enlist in the U.S. Army as an officer.

Scott will attend our 2017 Institute for a College-Going Commonwealth in Bowling Green, KY where he will join other students from across the Bluegrass in a two-day Leadership Development workshop.
